Spanning-Tree Protocol — The Song

I think almost all PacketU readers know that Radia Perlman, inventor of the spanning tree protocol, knows how to switch packets. But I’m willing to bet that many don’t know about her musical talents. In the video below, Ms. Perlman plays the piano as her daughter sings about her mother’s invention. The invention, known as the spanning-tree protocol, solved layer two network loops by selectively blocking switchports.
