Cisco Live 2013, A Success For Me

As many of you know, I spent this week in Orlando, Florida with many others from the technical community. According to some of the totals I heard, I actually spent the week with about 20,000 of my friends in networking. In addition to the tweet-up, the social events, several sessions on various Nexus topics, Firewall Architectures, and FlexVPN, I passed the CCIE R&S Written exam. This renewed my CCIE Security until April 2016 (yes, they add two years to the expiration date).

Although this is my second pass with this iteration of the exam, I wouldn’t consider it easy. I would say that the test is well written and fair. However, it certainly isn’t a cake walk. I found the week as a whole to be fun-filled and information packed. Now, hopefully I can get caught up on my rest. By the way the picture isn’t me–however, it is a CCIE in the making 🙂
